Types of Languages

Natural Languages

Natural languages are languages that were developed by use, over time. Natural languages are classified by family.

Latin-Based Languages

Latin is the basis for many modern languages, including : Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese. Although English is not a latin-based language, it bears some relation to Latin by a large percentage of loan words.

Artificial Languages

Artificial Languages are constructed languages. For this reason they are sometimes called ConLangs.
